Awen Family Band is a nationally touring world boogie collective founded by singer-songwriter and coddie-wompler Tim Husk in the summer of 2019. Awen Family played their first show at Kings in Raleigh, NC on June 5th and has since performed at festivals, concert series, venues, parks and backyards around the country. The band has featured an ever-changing all-star cast of artists who believe they are moving the message from one plane to another, "We don't create the lesson, only move the message", they don't create the art, but are vessels for the great spirit to move through them, to inspire and to be inspired by the life around them.

The band has featured members of Toubab Krewe, Big Something, Dr. Bacon, Charlie Hunter, The Kind Thieves, The Fundamentals, Self Help, TUB, Firewater Tent Revival, Custard Pie, Mellow Swells, The Moon Unit, FRUTE and many other acts. Blending roots music from around the globe such as Zydeco, Bluegrass, Funk, West African Traditional Music, Old Time, Indie, Swing, Celtic, Folk, Psychedelic, Jam, Boogie and many more, topped with their own unique sound and lyrics to spread the message for all who seek to hear.

After 5 years of a revolving door of world class players from all over the country, Awen Family Band in honored to welcome it's first ever full time members - Paul Benner on Bass and Vocals (formerly of Cosmic Superheroes) and James Kent on Guitar, Mandolin and Vocals (Long Sleeve Band, Formerly of Dropping Plates, and a rotating member of a number of NC bands). The band will also be joined by Marcus Clonts on Drum Set (Tours with a number of Nasheville bands, Formerly of TUB), and Daniel Combs on Organ and Electric Piano/Spiritual Adviser (Zones, Elora Dash, Formerly of TUB/Jahman Brahman) for most upcoming shows and tours, with a few fill ins, respectively.
From a long-awaited up coming freshman studio release to a committed band of brothers to travel far and wide, spreading the message of the Awen Family, the golden road is looking onward and never ends for those who travel among it.
